I know who John Kennedy is sleeping with, as Phil Graham sang that tune he sealed his fate for dusty death.

I know who John Kennedy is sleeping with,as Phil Graham sang that tune he sealed his fate for dusty death. Now quoting Mr.William Shakespeare,it(life) is a tale told by idiot(namely me),full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.Well I don't think Phil Graham life signify nothing, but maybe he did, after all,he wanted to be President. He believe he was smarter then most, who got the brass ring(the Presidency)and although he was a man of distinction he was bitterly disappointed in life.
I guess the beginning of the end of his life, was a conference in Arizona land for newspaper publishes. He got drunk, and mostly likely was having a nervous break down and in front of conference he started undressing and singing,"I know who John Kennedy is sleeping with." Somebody call the White House and a plane was sent to pick him up and them he was place in mental institution, until he talk his wife(Katharine Graham) into releasing him and them he committed suicide. Not a pretty end to such promising life.
I wonder when he marry Katharine and into Meyer family,Katharine father was Eugene Mayer noted financier and owner of Washington Post, did see it as ticket to great things to become a leader, a force to reckon with,if he did I suspect he was disappointed because perhaps being son-in-law of Eugene Mayer limited him and he become stuck in the Washington Post and rather then becoming a Senator or Governor. It had to be odd match anyway,Phil was the son of redneck millionaire, who was state senator,on the other hand,Katharine father was of Jewish descent, although raised his children as Episcopalians, along with very good Bernard Baruch, he was one of most successful investor of his day, made mint in the Stock Market.Like Baruch he enter government in the serve of President Wilson, where he gain much admiration for future President Hebert Hoover.Indeed, when depression hit Meyer become Hoover's point man on the economy both as chairman of FED and RFC.Meyer thought FDR's treatment of Hoover was disgraceful, hence,he left government and bought the Washington Post and didn't return to government service until Truman appointed him the first president of the world bank by that time his son-in-law was running the Washington Post.So it wasn't a marriage made in heaven and some where down the road for Phil it become a hell.
