Today in history John F.Kennedy just might lead us into Vietnam.

Today Oct. 11 in 1961 John F.Kennedy(JFK) announced he was dispatching General Maxwell D.Taylor to South Vietnam.Taylor,JFK's special military advisor, conferred with President Ngo Dinh Diem and South Vietnamese and U.S military officers, Oct.15-25.After  hearing Taylor's secret report,Kennedy assured Ngo of continue U.S assistance on Oct.26 1961.
On 2/14/1962 JFK stated U.S training mission in South Vietnam instructed to protect themselves if neccessary, but were "not combat troops in the generally understood sense of the word"The U.S Military Assistance  Command had been announced, Feb. 8 which the defence department said demonstrated American determination to prevent a Communist takeover of South Vietman.
A Left-wing libertarian name Walton wrote boo many years ago called"Cold War and counter revolution" basically it said Vietnam was JFK war and many his aids were super hawks until the accent change in White House to Southern then these man of no honor turned against the war.
